Welcome - Agree to ACP Terms

The Federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) will reimburse internet service providers (ISPs) $10 to $30 a month for providing broadband service and up to $100 towards a computing device to eligible households. PCs for People has been approved for participation as an ISP for ACP and our eligibility, 200% of the federal poverty level, has been approved. This is a limited-time offer only available through this special signup process. Agree to the terms below to begin ACP Registration.

I understand that the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a temporary government program that reduces my internet bill.

PCs for People will NOT automatically renew my subscription during the benefit. I am responsible for applying for the benefit each month through this portal. I understand if I do not renew my subscription within 15 days after subscription expiration, I will be automatically de-enrolled from PCs for People under the ACP.

I understand that at the end of the program if I would like to continue service with PCs for People, I will be subject to their regular terms and unsubsidized rates starting at $15/month. Please note you will not be automatically billed and you are not obligated to continue a paid service after ACP ends.

I understand PCs for People’s regular refund policies will apply (seven business days for hotspot equipment and 30 days for computer purchases) and active enrollment in an ACP internet subscription with PCs for People is required to use the ACP $100 one-time device benefit computer credit.

Current Subscribers - Autopay/automatic renewal is not available for ACP. I understand that if autopay is currently enabled on my account it will continue to charge normal pricing. I agree that it is my responsibility to turn autopay off or use this site to renew my service with the ACP benefit before my auto payment would initiate.

I understand I can only have one internet account enrolled in ACP. In addition, I understand the $100 device credit is optional, if I choose to use it I will only use it once. If my hotspot is returned any ACP subsidized computer must be returned or I may choose to pay the amount of the ACP subsidy to keep the computer.

I consent that my personal information, including the last four of my social security number and date of birth, will be shared with the National Lifeline Accountability Database (NLAD). NLAD allows service providers to check on a real-time, nationwide basis whether a consumer is already receiving a Lifeline program-supported service including ACP.

By purchasing an internet subscription, hotspot, or computer using the ACP program, I intend to maintain my ACP enrollment with PCs for People for at least 30 days. I understand that any amount paid towards an internet device is a partial payment and PCs for People will utilize ACP funds to subsidize my device until it is paid in full.

I understand that I may obtain and apply the Affordable Connectivity Program-supported broadband service from any participating provider and offerings of my choosing at the same terms available to any household that is ineligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program.

I understand that I can file a complaint against PCs for People via the Commission’s Consumer Complaint Center regarding an Affordable Connectivity Program-supported service or difficulty enrolling with them.

*You must meet PCs for People’s standard eligibility requirements in order to participate. ACP verification is immediate and proof of eligibility will be uploaded at checkout.

Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) Program - FAQ

What is the ACP?

The ACP Program is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that provides financial support to cover monthly broadband bills for qualifying households.

Who is eligible?

The FCC asks for people to apply for ACP directly through the federal government. However, PCs for People has been approved to use our existing eligibility verification process to qualify people for the ACP. PCs for People’s eligibility requirements are available at www.pcsforpeople.org/eligibility

How can I apply?

When you go to https://acp.pcsrefurbished.com/ebb you will be directed to enter your information for validation through a federal database that checks to see if you are already receiving the benefit with another provider. Once this check has been completed, you can continue to create an account with PCs for People (including uploading your eligibility documents) and place your order.

How much is the discount?

The federal government has set rules about how much of a discount is available for both internet service and for computers purchased along with internet service. For internet subscribers requesting the discounts through PCs for People, the discounts available are:

  • A monthly ACP internet benefit up to $30 each month. For new subscribers this benefit covers your first month of service with the remaining balance applied to cover a portion of the cost of your hotspots. For current subscribers this benefit covers the cost of your monthly prepaid internet renewal.
  • Renewals of one month of internet service will have a discount applied to the full price, meaning that you will pay $0 with the benefit applied
  • A one-time, program-wide $100 connected device benefit of $100 applied to an eligible desktop or laptop computer package. Please note that active ACP internet with PCs for People is required to use the connected device benefit with PCs for People.
How long does the program last?

On November 15, 2021, President Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which provides $14.2 billion to modify and extend the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) to a longer-term broadband affordability program called the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The program will end when funds are exhausted.

Other important information:

The Affordable Connectivity Program is non-transferable and is limited to one discount per household. You can call PCs for People with questions at 651-354-2552 or visit our Customer Support Portal for additional resources
